How credits work during the private beta.
How do credits work?
Credits are used to generate AI images. You always see the cost before you generate. Standard currently costs 5 credits per image, and Premium costs 12 credits per image.
When are credits deducted?
Credits are reserved when a generation starts and charged when the image is delivered.
If a generation fails without delivering an image, the reserved credits are returned automatically.
Does generating another version cost credits?
Yes. Every new image uses credits, including another version of an existing image. The button shows the cost.
Does editing a shot plan cost credits?
No. Saving your own changes to a shot plan is free. Generating images from the plan uses credits.
Can I cancel a generation?
While an image is waiting to start, you can stop it. Its credits come back in full.
Once the AI service has started working on it, it can't be stopped, because the AI service may already charge for it. It will then finish on its own.
The image page always shows whether stopping is possible.
How do I request more credits?
Open Plan & Billing and choose Request more credits. Choose the number of credits, add a message if you like, and send the request.
We'll contact you to agree on payment and add the credits. Sending a request doesn't charge you and doesn't add credits by itself.
How does billing work during the private beta?
During the private beta, payments and invoices are arranged directly with SwapCat, outside the app. Subscriptions and online credit purchases aren't available yet.
